Summary

Partition reduced people to homelessness and created a community of migrants ceaselessly. Those who did not experience displacement also faced massive hardship not foreseen by the makers of partition. Following the communal violence in many parts of East Pakistan people started to trespass to their neighbouring countries with a sense of safety and security. The best example in this category is the story of Sudhanya Kumar Nath. Sudhanya Kumar Nath shared the memory of his father Surendra Kumar Nath who came to India in 1950, as a refugee (Saranarthi) when a massive communal clash was going on in their village called Balaganj in East Pakistan.
